Why?

Why? Why do things happen the way they do? Is everything written down? What if I want to change things? Who defines our destiny? Why is that our destiny?
All these questions run through my mind and I feel how the pressure of not knowing the answers start to sink in. I think about it even harder and I understand that there is no right or wrong answer to these subjective questions. Acknowledging these thoughts is the first step in the right direction, leading to a path of understanding and finally the realization that the concept of destiny and predestination is too vast for us to comprehend.
Throughout our lives, we notice that many things happen at their given time, at that right moment and that's when we start to think about that cliché phrase "everything happens for a reason"...this could be understood in many ways. Some can say that God is who made it happen, granting him the complete and absolute fault...but others can simply reflect upon our own capability of decision and the power we have to draw on the empty canvas that is our life. Either way, things are always happening around us, some things we notice, and others we don't. But the truth is that we're always caught up thinking about something else, another situation we want to be in, another state of mind, another way of life, that when we finally see what's going on, it's too late and the moment has passed.
Our life is a series of events that we overestimate by thinking so hardly about them that when the time comes, we're completely dissappointed. Building up thoughts and expectations about something or someone is our complete and utter downfall. Planning and over analyzing situations is a recipe for disaster. But anything is possible. It can all go terrible wrong, it can go as you planned, it can be not as expected but okay...so many things can happen.
The possibilities in life gives us hope, not knowing what will happen is exciting.
